The Factory Field Representative is responsible for calling on OEM Franchised and Key Independent Marine service dealers in the South-east Region. This person will represent all SeaStar Solutions programs and products and their primary responsibility is to manage the “day to day”, “face to face” calls on assigned marine dealers in their assigned territory. Their responsibilities include building working relationships with these dealers, promoting SeaStar/Sierra programs and goods and discovering way for SeaStar to add more value. This person is to also gain valuable intel on what SeaStar Solutions needs to do to gain OEM Franchised dealer market share. The territory is Alabama, Georgia, Florida, North/South Carolina.
Develop, maintain relationships with key independent and OEM Franchised dealers in territory
Communicate progress towards goals
Understand and gain intimate knowledge of the customer, its organization structure, its markets, future plans, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
Understand and communicate customer needs to SeaStar Solutions.
Disseminate SeaStar Solutions capabilities within existing accounts.
Monitor customer satisfaction and identify corrective actions.
Monitor competitive activities at the customers.
Work with product managers, regional managers and local independent sales reps to coordinate and host training events
Provide Weekly and Monthly Territory Report to Supervisor
Work closely with SeaStar Regional Manager and Derema sales reps to keep local distributors in the loop
Facilitate future marketing and advertising campaigns implemented by SeaStar Solutions to ensure dealers in this marketing area aware of the promotions and take full advantage of the opportunities and benefits.
Lead those dealers who are aware and interested into a closer relationship with SeaStar Solutions marketing team engaging them in our Facebook and Twitter
Once relationships are established, work with key dealers to provide POS feedback to SeaStar Solutions on our inventory position at the dealer level.
Deliverables: Build solid relationships with local dealers. Identify new opportunities and disseminate SeaStar Solutions capabilities. Increase OnBoard Rewards signups, host SeaStar Solutions Training events, demo STATS at the dealer, Facebook and Twitter engagement.
Marine industry background with a slant towards the technical side to be to talk intelligently to servicing dealer as well as host technical training seminars on occasion.
Marine/Technical OEM training certifications
Provide timely response/feedback, able to push/pull to get information.
