KKMI is looking for an experienced Marine Engine Mechanic and/or Systems Tech to work at San Francisco Bay’s premier boatyard.

WHAT ARE THE JOBS?
KKMI is looking for a skilled diesel and gas engine mechanic experienced with a wide variety of engines. Duties involve repair, maintenance, and installation of engines and associated systems such as; drivelines and steering, fuel, exhaust, charging and control systems, including computerized engine diagnostics. This position is physically demanding and requires working in small spaces aboard boats. Continual learning about new and old marine engines and operating systems is necessary.

AND/OR

Experience with plumbing and systems.

This includes working on:

• Sanitation Systems
• Steering & Driveline
• Propulsion
• Refrigeration
• & the latest pickle our customer might be experiencing with their vessel

WHO ARE YOU?
You are someone who doesn't just service boats, but you truly understand them and how they interface with other systems. You are not afraid of a challenge and you enjoy troubleshooting and solving problems. Ideally, you have an interest in boating, but that's not a prerequisite. You have a professional and efficient work ethic and a good, team attitude. Completion of mechanics training programs and boat work experience are a plus. Perhaps you're a tug boat technician looking for a little change of scenery. Or maybe you're a freelance mechanic and are tired of being on call for clients 24/7. Most importantly, you understand how boat engines and their systems work and enjoy the satisfaction of fixing them.
